Vancouver Tuesday

Image
Tuesday was our full Vancouver day and we got our moneys worth.  I managed to stay in bed until about 4 am and being a very considerate husband, did my best to stay quiet.  Since Rod and Glenda are not due to arrive until mid afternoon, Nace and I are going to do some cycling and take advantage of Vancouver's extensive seawall pathways.   Quiet time was over at 5 when I succumbed to my coffee jones and fired up the one cup coffee maker in the room.  To be fair, Nace had already started to show some signs of life. We were dressed and set out to take in the early morning sun on the hotel patio with a great view of the harbor.  The weather is warmer than typical for Vancouver, low 80's < 50% humidity, cool coastal breeze-perfect for a couple of SW Floridians escaping the oppressive summer heat.   Time to explore Granville Island and finds some real coffee and breakfast Water Taxi Parking Lot Granville...

Travel Day - Naples to Vancouver-Monday

Three Weeks To Departure

Thanks for tagging along on our Regent Seven Seas Alaskan Inside Passage Cruise.  In 2017 our vacation was denied by hurricane Irma ( Read the Blog ) so we are especially anxious to get this years vacation underway.  This will also serve as the formal celebration of 40 years of marital bliss. Nace and I are especially honored to have Rod and Glenda sharing our experience and serving as referees! Our vacations are typically planned and executed by me, with full and undeserved confidence of our friends who have the courage to travel with us.  This time, I am pleased to say that all the credit and blame will be on Regent.  Once we drop the bags at embarkation in Vancouver I will luxuriate for a week without worrying about an itinerary.  Same bed every night, meals and beverages available 24-7 sounds too good to be true.  All our excursions have been selected and we should have plenty of time to enjoy all the first class amenities of the newly renova...
